Gaza’s Shoes is a tribute to the late Gaza Bowen. Gaza was a brilliant artist famous for her handmade shoes, shoe sculptures with feminist overtones, and sculptures/installations from reclaimed materials. This piece is created from digitally printed photographs of shoes from Gaza’s own closet which were generously donated to the UC Davis Design Collection.
